Established in Watertown Wisconsin in 1988, by John Hanson and Dennis Leja, the Hanson and Leja Lumber Company has grown to become the largest lumber producer in Southeast Wisconsin. We have achieved this growth by supplying the finest northern hardwood lumber and rapidly responding to customer requests. We harvest timber from privately owned forestlands throughout Southern Wisconsin. We supply green and kiln dried northern hardwood lumber in truck and container load lots nationally and internationally. We provide planing and ripping to width. We have a retail store at the mill to provide hardwood lumber and flooring for the market. We also sell green white oak timbers and boards for horse and cattle fencing, trailer decking, railroad ties, cribbing, docking, and other purposes. Mill byproducts - bark, sawdust, and chips - are provided for animal bedding and landscaping.
