We provide all general sawmill services, and many custom specialty services catered to your exact needs. In addition to our bandmill which can saw up to 18 feet long x 27 inches wide, we run a high horse power double-powerhead-chainsaw mill currently set up for 48" wide cuts on a 66" bar, but can saw much wider with our 96" bar! We carry all woods domestic New Jersey and surounding appalachia. We specialize in figured and wide woods and rare burls in various forms. Middle Valley Lumber started as a partnership between a logger and a sawyer. Recently the partnership was split, yet we continue to work closley together accomplishing just what we used to do and now more. We specialize in black locust lumber and pole wood which is extremely durable and rot resistant compared to many other weather resistant woods including pressure treated kinds. Logging black locust, and even clear cutting it is extremly "green" and environmentaly safe. Please call for more information regading this. In addition to black locust pole woods we also are fully capable of bulk eastern red cedar pole woods cut to order, small order or by the tractor trailer load, local or shipped far away. Eastern Red Cedar is available in lumber form in small quantities only, for heartwood diameters over 12" are rare. Our Eastern Red Cedar is superior to others as it is from an extremly large old growth patch. Small 12" diameter sawlogs average 100+ years old.
