Spectacular clear all heart, straight, dry, tight vertical grain OLD GROWTH redwood, 5 1/4 - 5 3/8 by 2 1/2 inches, in lengths up to 30 feet with intact finger joints (or 6 feet to 18 feet with finger joints separated, many in the upper half of that length range). Salvaged from a 100-year+ old water tank. Natural patina on the external surfaces. Planes to beautiful surfaces as seen in the photos. The finest architectural grade of redwood, very difficult to find. Old growth is superior to newer growth in terms of moisture resistance, insect resistance and maintenence. About 4800 board feet.
